So you wanna be a ghost hunter huh? by Michael Anall

You think you have what it takes to be a paranormal investigator? Think again! It can take years of experience before you can successfully bag a ghostie. I've jotted down some tips to help the novice ghost hunter... PRINT THIS LIST OFF and take it with you before you attempt a hunt. An inexperienced hunter can be at DANGER if he is not properly prepared.
Make sure you are not trespassing. If you are on private property you are risking getting arrested or shot in some areas.
Look for no trespassing signs.
 I'm gonna KILL you
Look for beware of bull / dog signs
Make sure you bring your OFFICIAL Frodsham Amateur Ghost Society ID card. If you are not a member then gas bill will suffice.
Never go alone, try to pair off in teams of 2, or 3 if one member is blind.
Check out the area in daylight so you are familiar with the surroundings (not required for the blind), try to imagine where ghosts would hide, for example in a barrel or well. Take powerful ghost ultra violet latern to shine in ghosts eyes to scare out of hiding place.
Always wear outdoor shoes when walking across grass and or mud
If you are taking the blind or disabled CHECK to see if it is worth the bother
DO NOT open film and tapes inside of the haunting area. Also don't load the film and tapes there. You DO NOT want to show the spirits what you intend to do.
NO SMOKING or alcoholic beverages during the hunt.
The best times are from 9pm to 6am. E.g. NIGHT TIME. But any time can produce results. Photos tend to be better in the dark.
Find out all you can about the history of the area. E.g. was anyone brutally murdered there?
Record the date, time and weather conditions on your log before you begin and note any changes.
Walk around the area for a while before starting the cameras and recorders.
Take a picnic / packed lunch.
Take pictures all the time even if you don't see anything, later in the lab you may spot ghostly spirits jimmying around with you.
Only fully sighted members should drive van, if AT ALL POSSIBLE.
Get god to watch over your ass.
When you are done, thank all spirits that may be around you and ask them to remain there and not follow you back to your bus and home.
