If you look very closely in the foliage at the bottom corner of this photograph, the eagle eyed among you may be able to make out a canine apparition! Most people attempt to explain it away as a camera strap. I'll let you make up your own minds.
It may chill you to know that none of the people in this photograph were ever seen alive again, to my knowledge.
"What's this?" I hear you cry! "Why, it's an everyday seaside scene in a
gallery of ghosts?"
My take on it is a little different, however. Although many suggest it's
the reflection of a troublesome camera strap, I believe the ectoplasmic
distortion in the centre of the shot to be the apparition of a ghostly
pirate.
The Frodsham Arms! Our local Beefeater. An ideal place to take the family
for a meal on the birthday of an elderly relative or on a warm summer sunday
(after the Grand Prix). Also, it seems, the ideal location to spot a
phantom!
In the foreground of this picture, you can just make out the apparition of a
HEADLESS HORSEMAN!
Woah Steve! I told you not to try and get back to the car on your own!
Steve's unfortunate accident, was timely enough to reveal this glowing
ectoplasmic orb, which in my more fanciful moments, I think looks rather
like the face of Mr Miyagi from the Karate Kid Trilogy. Not a camera
strap.
A highpoint of one of our many Formby Wood walks (outdoor shoes essential!)
was this oppurtunity to snap this floating apparition of Freddy Mercury.
Especially for young Mike Tasker who is a big fan of The Queen.!"
